Our speaker Sara Putt is MD of Sara Putt Associates and Chair of BAFTA.
Sara will talk about the role of the agent, and how an agent can support your film & TV career development, whether you are working locally in your own country or internationally.

Sara Putt Associates is the leading UK independent agency representing behind the camera technical and production talent, from producers and directors to heads of department and crew. Working nationally and internationally, the SPA team assists their clients with securing film & television work for national and international productions, network-building and career strategy.
Sara Putt Associates is part of The Partnership Group, along with agencies Sayle Screen and The Artists Partnership, to maximise opportunities within a shared values framework.

Sara will discuss questions such as:

  • What is an agent?
  • Are you at the right stage in your career to consider agent representation?
  • How do you go about getting an agent?
  • How do you manage the agent-client relationship to maximise its potential?
  • What happens when things go wrong with an agent and how do you change agents?
  • When a network of informal champions better for you, rather than having an agent?
  • Working in another country – your check-list, including visas.

You can email your questions ahead to info@screencraftworks.org (email subject: Cross-Border Careers agent talk), or ask questions at the talk.
